New XDefiant Factions

Ubisoft have already unveiled the codenames for the Factions that will be introduced in the first four seasons of XDefiant: Ruby, Buzz, Orchard, and Horde.

While there’s not much to go on, we know that these Factions will be influenced by one of Ubisoft’s franchises, so who knows, perhaps we could see a Rainbow Six Siege or Assassin’s Creed-inspired Faction for one of these seasons.

XDefiant new weapons, modes & maps

Each season for XDefiant’s first year will bring three new weapons and maps. The new maps are said to be influenced by places from Ubisoft’s popular franchises, while the weapons will likely be modern guns that FPS players are familiar with.

Developer Mark Rubin stated in June 2023, that there will be a new map in XDefiant every month, giving players plenty of new locations to enjoy through the first year.

The roadmap also revealed new modes and features coming in XDefiant’s first year such as a Ranked mode, Private matches, caster cams, Arena and Progression modes, Practice Zones for beginner players, and even “ongoing work to keep the competition fair.”

XDefiant Preseason content

XDefiant’s Preseason will kick off on May 21, 2024, alongside the game’s global release, featuring 14 maps, 5 factions, 5 modes, and 18 weapons. The dev team confirmed that the game’s Preseason will feature all the content in the Server Test Session.

As we get closer to each season, we’ll likely gain more information about the weapons and maps it will bring, so stay tuned on CharlieIntel as we’ll be covering it all.
