Is XDefiant coming to PlayStation 4 & Xbox One?

Here’s everything you need to know about whether or not XDefiant is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

XDefiant is Ubisoft’s exciting new first-person shooter which is set to release later this year in 2023. Some lucky players have already experienced the free-to-play title thanks to the closed beta back in April, allowing them to get their hands on the game’s Factions early.

Further, more players will be able to experience the game early with the open beta in June 2023, which was announced during the Ubisoft Forward presentation.

Unfortunately for players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this beta is for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

However, with the official launch set for Summer 2023, many are wondering if PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be released, so here are all the details.

Will XDefiant be on PS4 & Xbox One?

Ubisoft have confirmed that XDefiant will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as it is currently being worked on. The last-gen version of XDefiant will launch “as soon as they are ready.”

While it may not launch as early as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC version, which is set for Summer 2023, one of the game’s developers confirmed in their Discord that the last-gen version of XDefiant is “actively being worked on.”

The dev explained further, saying that the devs are working on the last-gen version of XDefiant so that it can “offer a similar, great experience to current gen.”

Ubisoft will be providing updates on the last-gen version of XDefiant, so we’ll be sure to update this piece as and when new details arrive.
