Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock 2024 start date & bonuses

After Go Fest 2024, Pokemon Go is celebrating Ultra Unlock events featuring plenty of surprises, perks, and highly anticipated debuts.

Niantic finally revealed everything these events are bringing to Pokemon Go, so here’s all you need to know about them.

Ultra Unlock 2024 start dates

• Part 1 – Better Together: July 17 to July 22
• Part 2 – Strength of Steel: July 25 to July 30
• Part 3 – Mega Lucario Raid Day: July 27

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Better Together debut & bonuses

Paldean Pokemon Tandemaus and its evolution, Maushold, debuted in Pokemon Go during the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event. The Couple Pokemon is featured in Field and Timed Research tasks during the event, as well as in Party Play.

Additionally, players can enjoy the following bonuses:

• 2x catch Candy
• 4x catch XP
• Friendship levels will increase faster than normal when opening Gifts, trading Pokemon, or battling together in Raids, Gyms, and Trainer Battles

Part 2 – Strength of Steel debut & bonuses

• Shiny debut of Togedemaru
• Additional Candy XL for successfully catching Pokemon for Trainers level 31 and up.
• Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
• Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better.
• 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon.

This event focuses on Steel-type Pokemon, featuring shiny Togedemaru’s debut alongside other popular species like Mawile, Scizor, and the Metagross line.

Part 3 – Mega Lucario Raid Day bonuses

• Mega Lucario debuts in Raids
• Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
• Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
• One guaranteed Rare Candy XL when catching Lucario
• 3x more XP from Raid Battles
• 2x Stardust from Raid Battles

Be sure to prepare strong Fire and Ground-type counters to beat Mega Lucario in Raids.

How to get Ultra Unlock events

Trainers had to complete 20 Global Challenges during Go Fest 2024 between July 13 and July 14, to activate the Ultra Unlock events.
