Primal Kyogre is the strongest Water-type in Pokemon Go and players flocked to Raid battles to grind for a shiny, 100 IV version of this iconic Legendary. But, it looks like most were extremely disappointed even after doing multiple Raids.

Catching the most powerful picks in Pokemon Go is a surefire way to become a top-tier trainer and excel in PvP and PvE battles. Legendaries are undoubtedly the best grabs, but some are better than others.

Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon are two such species whose damage output is off the charts, making them some of the most coveted Pokemon in the mobile game. With Raid Day events announced for each in March 2024, everyone was beyond excited.

But, with Primal Kyogre Raid Day in the books, fans are left with a bad taste in the mouth due to the terrible shiny odds in the event. So, when Reddit user ‘AugustDaKid’ shared their haul of no shinies despite doing more than 25 Raids, everyone was fuming.

The OP claimed that devs Niantic may have forgotten to boost the shiny odds as expected from a Raid Day, and fellow trainers couldn’t agree more.

As fans complained of no shinies even after doing several Raids, they were convinced that Niantic “lowered the shiny chances,” turning Raid Days into a “disaster.”

Raid Days typically have boosted shiny chances of 1 in 10 in Pokemon Go, and yet, most hardly got any shinies, calling the experience “awful.” Even those who were lucky enough to get them called out the extremely low odds.

Surprisingly, the non-shiny finds weren’t a breeze either as many had Primal Kyogre flee despite getting Excellent Throws and using Golden Razz Berries. On the other hand, shiny Raid encounters are always a guaranteed catch.

That’s not all as trainers even called out the lack of Rare Candy XL gains despite being promised a higher chance. With so much mess surrounding the Primal Kyogre Raid Day, they would hope the Primal Groudon Raid Day on March 23, 2024, goes better for them.

In the meantime, check out the other Raid Bosses in March and how the Party Play feature can help you beat Raids more easily.
