Pokemon Go players slam Niantic

Several Pokemon Go players have taken it to social networks to complain about “unclear” and “misleading” rewards offered by paid tickets, and call out for a change.

Pokemon Go players are having a blast with the recent World of Wonders content drops, however, not all players are happy with the recent events going on in Niantic’s mobile game. Some trainers have complained about the ticket pricing, and some others, about their meager rewards.

While players have complained about similar topics in the past, this time, they are accusing Niantic of outright “lying to them” about the drop increase on certain items that paid tickets offer.

This was posted by Reddit user ‘umutmcan’ in TheSilphRoad Pokemon Go community, and it immediately sparked an avalanche of reports from players that believe Niantic isn’t delivering the promised rewards, even for those players who paid for ‘boosting tickets.’

The OP also stated that the “Increased chance” some tickets offer “makes no sense,” and that Niantic has lied to “mislead” the players into thinking the paid rewards boost their chances to get more selected items. In this particular case, he talks about the increased XL Candy drops that the latest Paid Research ticket offered.

“In the image you see the Rare Candy XLs I obtained as a result of 20 Raid. I know Pokemon Go is a game of probabilities and chances but I think they could at least show the courtesy of promising a guarantee for the bonuses we get by paying money,” the OP explained. To what another player answered: “This ‘nonsense’ can only continue thanks to people buying the ticket.”

Others also joined umutmcan in their complaint and exposed several similar cases, where they felt like the Pokemon Go devs were outright “ripping them off.” One of the players went as far as to say: “It’s getting a little tiring for me to have to question whether or not we’re going to get ripped off in every deal.”

Be it that the suspicions of the players are correct, or that they are just the results of a streak of bad luck, we will keep you informed in case Niantic announces changes on the reward system.
