Togekiss is one of the best anti-Dragon picks in Pokemon Go, so here’s how you can get it, its best PvP and Raid moveset, and if it’s worth powering up for battles.

Pokemon Go players must build solid teams to win in the Go Battle League and beat challenging Raids. But regardless of which meta you’re facing, Dragon Pokemon are some of the best attackers, so you need to use strong counters like Togekiss to make quick work of them.

If you’re eager to add this iconic Fairy/Flying-type to your team, here’s all you need to know to get Togekiss in Pokemon Go, along with the recommended moveset and details on how good it is in battles.

When & where to get a Togekiss

Here’s how you can get Togekiss in Pokemon Go:

  • By catching a Togetic in the wild and evolving it with 100 Candy and a Sinnoh Stone.
  • By hatching Togepi for 2km Eggs, evolving it to Togetic with 25 Candy, and then evolving Togetic to Togekiss.

Keep in mind that Togekiss and a Baby Pokemon like Togepi are not available as wild spawns. Togetic, on the other hand, is very rare but can be encountered more commonly in Cloudy or Windy in-game weather.

You’ll be glad to know that Togetic is currently in 3-Star Raids, so you have a great opportunity to get Togekiss easily. Be sure to feed a Silver Pinap or Pinap Berry each time you catch Togetic to earn bonus Candy and evolve it faster.

Also, if you’re wondering how to get a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon Go, here’s how to do it:

  • By taking part in the Go Battle League and getting at least two wins in a set, where the second reward has a high chance of being a Sinnoh Stone.
  • Beating Team Leaders like Blanche, Candela, and Spark.
  • By spinning PokeStops and Gyms.
  • From certain Field Research tasks.
  • From the Research Breakthrough Box earned after completing Field Research tasks for seven days.

Togekiss movesets & when to use them

Fast Moves

  • Charm (Fairy)
  • Air Slash (Flying)
  • Hidden Power (Normal)

Charged Moves

  • Dazzling Gleam (Fairy)
  • Aerial Ace (Flying)
  • Ancient Power (Rock)
  • Flamethrower (Fire)
  • Aura Sphere* (Fighting)

Aura Sphere can be taught to Togekiss only with an Elite Charged TM.

Charm and Dazzling Gleam form a phenomenal PvE Fairy-type moveset duo to punish Pokemon weak to these attacks, such as Dragon, Dark, and Fighting-type Raid bosses. The high damage output from this moveset makes up for Togekiss’ decent 225 Attack stat, and it even excels other powerhouses like Gardevoir and Sylveon in beating Fighting-type Pokemon, thanks to its resistances.

For PvP, Charm combined with Ancient Power and Flamethrower makes it extremely scary to face, as it even does quite a number to the OP Dialga Origin. That’s not all, as it comfortably destroys opponents like Dragonite, Garchomp, Palkia Origin, Groudon, and Zygarde.

Even a single buff to its Attack and Defense stats from Ancient Power turns Togekiss into an unstoppable monster, while Flamethrower surprises Metagross and other formidable Steel types.

Is it worth trying to get Togekiss?

Yes, it’s worth getting Togekiss in Pokemon Go. With an excellent moveset, great stats, and coverage against some of the strongest opponents, it is amazing as a Raid counter and in the Ultra and Master League. So, feel free to max it a high IV Togekiss to level 50.
