Minecraft players will require the following materials to brew a Potion of Fire Resistance:

How to obtain a Brewing Stand in Minecraft

A Brewing Stand can be crafted using three blocks of cobblestone and a Blaze Rod, or obtained from the cleric villager’s house inside a village. Cobblestone is a common block, so a few seconds of quick mining can solve that issue.

Blaze Rods are dropped by the Blaze mob in Minecraft. These are rare mobs that are only found in the Nether. You’ll need a nether portal to access this realm. Once you’re inside the hellish Nether dimension, explore until you spot a Fortress. They have better spawns in the Soul Sand biome.

Blaze rods are the only source of Blaze powder, which is a necessary ingredient in several potion brews. Therefore, we suggest that you get a number of rods. Also, remember to get a significant amount of Nether Wart while in the Nether. These can be found growing beside Nether Fortress staircases.

Once all ingredients have been collected, you need to place a Blaze rod inside the middle slot of a crafting table 3×3 grid. Next comes the cobblestone with three blocks in the bottom row. This will result in a fully crafted Brewing Stand.

How to obtain Magma Cream in Minecraft

Magma Cream can be obtained as drops from Magma Cubes. These mobs are only found in the Nether dimension and are mostly spotted hopping around Nether Wastes, Basalt Deltas, Nether Fortresses, or in Bastions.

How to brew an Awkward Potion

Minecraft‘s Awkward Potions can be brewed using Nether Wart and Water Bottles. They’re used to brew tons of potions, so you should always keep some on hand. Once you’ve got some Nether Wart from a Nether Fortresses, craft some Glass Bottles using three blocks of glass (per bottle) on a crafting table. Fill these bottles up with water, and you’ll convert them into Water Bottles.

After this, place up to three water bottles in the Brewing Stand. Put some blaze powder in the “fuel” slot found on the top left of the Stand, and add some nether wart to the top slot. You’ll start the brewing process, which will result in some Awkward Potions.

Brewing recipe for Potion of Fire Resistance in Minecraft

Once you’ve crafted or obtained some Magma Cream, a Brewing Stand, and subsequently, some Awkward Potions, you’re ready to brew a Potion of Fire Resistance in Minecraft.

1. Place some Magma Cream in the top slot of the Brewing Stand.
2. Place up to three Awkward Potions in the bottom slots.
3. Place some Blaze Powder in the top-left slot.

Doing so will begin the brewing process, resulting in the Potion of Fire Resistance which lasts for three minutes.

Brewing recipe for Potion of Fire Resistance II in Minecraft

The Potion of Fire Resistance II is a superior version of the Potion of Fire Resistance in Minecraft. In order to brew this potion, you’ll have to replace the Magma Cream in your Brewing Stand with redstone dust.

Redstone dust drops when a block of redstone ore is mined. You can find redstone dust between Y levels 15 and -63. However, the most profitable levels for redstone lie at Y levels -58 and -59.

Once you’ve collected enough redstone dust, you’re ready to brew a Potion of Fire Resistance II.

1. Place some redstone dust in the top slot of the Brewing Stand.
2. Place up to three Potions of Fire Resistance in the bottom slots.
3. Place some Blaze Powder in the top-left slot.

Doing so will begin the brewing process, resulting in the Potion of Fire Resistance II which lasts for eight minutes.
