Now that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have both been released, we can see how many people are playing both Call of Duty games, and here’s the 2022 player count.
After a long wait, Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 finally went live on November 16, and Call of Duty players have been hopping into both titles to check out the new content that’s available, including the Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode.
While both of these are available to download separately, they have the same client launcher and are available together on Steam.
If you’re wondering how many people play Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 then we’ve got the answer.
How many people play Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2?
According to SteamCharts, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 averaged around 184,687.3 players in the last 30 days, with the all-time peak being 488,897 players as of November 2022.
While Warzone 2 doesn’t feature an in-game display showing the total player count, Activision revealed that the new Call of Duty title reached a total of 25 million players just five days after it launched.
Although the SteamCharts website provides accurate statistics about the total player count, it’s impossible to tell exactly how many people are playing Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 on other platforms.
When Modern Warfare 2’s beta first went live, it set new player participation records in the Call of Duty series. Since Warzone 2 is completely free-to-play, a large number of players were able to immediately play it when it was released on November 16.
