Modern Warfare 3, combined with Warzone and MW2, has 67,863 players at the time of writing, according to SteamCharts. The game averaged 67,115 daily active players between July and August. The peak number of players in the last 30 days sits at 105,754 as of August 1, 2024.

Keep in mind that MW3, Warzone, and MW2 all come under the unified Call of Duty HQ launcher on Steam and other platforms, so this number includes all those games combined.

Despite SteamCharts providing reliable statistics about the total number of players launching the game via Steam on PC, it’s not possible to tell how many people are playing Modern Warfare 3, MW2, and Warzone on consoles.

The number will be much higher if you take PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S players into account.
