Will there be a Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 7 update?

With Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 in full swing and the release of Modern Warfare 3 looming, players might be wondering if they can expect seasonal updates for the current iterations of both games. So, will there be a MW2 and Warzone Season 7? Here’s everything you need to know.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 has arrived, bringing the new TR-76 Geist AR and ISO 9mm SMG, along with a fresh Battle Pass to grind. There’s plenty still to come too, with The Hanting Halloween event due to drop with Season 6 Reloaded, which is set to bring a host of new crossover bundles.

But with Modern Warfare 3 hitting shelves on November 10, players are wondering if there will be more seasonal updates, which have arrived like clockwork since MW2 launched last October.

Here’s everything we know about whether or not there will be a MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 7.

Is there a MW2 & Warzone Season 7?

No, there will not be a Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 7 update, making Season 6 the last full season in both games as we know it. Much like Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War before it, seasonal content will end for Modern Warfare 2 after Season 6, as attention turns to the sequel.

Meanwhile, Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 will see the game integrate with Warzone, and the battle royale will continue to receive updates alongside MW3. This is expected to bring a new map as well as a host of fresh weapons.

Although there is no Warzone Season 7 update in the works, there’s still plenty more to look forward to for fans of the game once the next CoD installment drops.

While this may come as a disappointment to Modern Warfare 2 players, the good news is that any weapons, Blueprints, and Operators you’ve unlocked will be available in MW3 thanks to the carry forward feature.
