The vast open world of Hogwarts Legacy also features classic locations from the Harry Potter franchise, including classes that players can attend. We’ll go over every subject that you can learn in the game.

All classes in Hogwarts Legacy

There are a total of nine different classes in Hogwarts Legacy, with each one consisting of a subject that Harry Potter fans will immediately recognize as they were featured in the novels and movies.

Hogwarts Legacy features Herbology, Potions, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Flying, Divination, Beasts, Astronomy, and Transfiguration as classes that students can attend. If you’re wondering what each of these subjects covers then we’ve got the answers.

Defense Against the Dark Arts

Defense Against the Dark Arts ensures that Hogwarts students can battle their enemies.

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Dinah Hecat teaches you to protect yourself from curses. While attending this class in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll be able to learn how to cast offensive spells.

This class has been a major part of the series, with a new teacher being designated to this class in each year of Harry’s time at Hogwarts, including, Quirrell, Lupin, Umbridge, and Snape.

Players that chose to purchase the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition will be granted access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena AI enemies as targets to practice spells on.

Herbology

Herbology teaches you about the plant life that can be found around Hogwarts, including a few that can be made into potions. In the novels, Neville Longbottom had a gift for this subject and would go on to become a Herbology professor.

Now, players will have the opportunity to develop the same aptitude for it. Plus, it’s always useful to know which plants are deadly and worth watching out for. This class is taught by Mirabel Garlick.
