Fans of the Harry Potter franchise are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Hogwarts Legacy which is one of the most highly-anticipated AAA titles in 2023 and will bring the Wizarding World to life like never before.

You’ll have the opportunity to cast spells and search for fantastic beasts after hopping into the game, but does Hogwarts Legacy feature an open world for players to explore?

Is Hogwarts Legacy open world?

Yes, Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world title, and this was confirmed by the developers in the game’s FAQ section. You’ll be able to explore locations that are familiar to fans of the franchise.

This includes the Common Rooms, Classrooms, the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade Village, and Diagon Alley. Since Hogwarts Legacy features flying broomsticks as a means of traversal, you’ll get to soar across the map while exploring.
