Does Hogwarts Legacy have romance options?

Hogwarts Legacy is a role-playing game that features an expansive open world. But does it let players romance other characters in the Wizarding World? Here’s all you need to know about the romance options in Hogwarts Legacy.

Featuring fantastic beasts, magical spells, a giant open world, fun and quirky characters, and more, players of Hogwarts Legacy have been diving into the immersive world of the game for quite some time now.

As an action RPG, witches and wizards may be wondering if there are any romance options in Hogwarts Legacy, similar to other titles like The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, or Fallout.

On that note, here’s everything you need to know about romance in Hogwarts Legacy.

Can you date characters in Hogwarts Legacy?

There are no romance options in Hogwarts Legacy as confirmed by Avalance Software, the developers of the game. Fellow students and teachers can accompany you on missions, but these relationships can’t go further.

In an interview with GamePro, Narrative Lead Moira Squier and Game Designer Kelly Murphy explained that the feature would be “difficult to manage,” considering that the main character is 15 years old when the game begins.

Our wizard or witch joins the school in their fifth year, but students ranging from 11 up to 18 attend Hogwarts and can be seen roaming the campus. With this in mind, the devs understandably decided not to include romance options altogether.

However, this doesn’t mean that romance options won’t come later down the line. There has been no word yet on DLC for Hogwarts Legacy, but the game is expected to receive post-launch support.

Although the devs seemingly wanted to steer clear of the feature for now, it could easily be added in the future if they find a way to handle it in the right manner. We’ll be sure to update this page with any future announcements.
