Tekken 8 brings the Heat as you’ll get to play over 30 characters when the game arrives on January 26. While many were able to play a lot of these characters in the Closed Beta, the devs have some surprises in store with more characters to test out at launch, including Alisa, Lee, and, Zafina.
As well as returning faces, Tekken 8 is bringing new faces in Azucena, Reina Mishama, and Victor Chevalier.

Tekken 8 Victor Chevalier new character explained
Victor Chevalier is one of Tekken 8‘s brand-new characters. According to his character bio, Victor is a French “living legend who founded the UN’s independent forces.” He “descended from a lineage of distinguished knights,” and was previously in “the French Navy before joining the UN following his will to save more people.”
Victor also “founded and trained the Raven Force – armed forces that have the authority to act at their own discretion to counter the corporation’s private armed forces.”
This new character is voiced by Vincent Cassel, a French actor who is famous for his roles in movies such as Black Swan, Ocean’s Twelve, La Haine, and many more.
Bandai NamcoVictor Chevalier’s Tekken 8 France stage
Tekken 8’s Victor Chevalier also comes with a brand-new stage that’s set in France called Celebration on the Seine.
The first gameplay of this new stage was shared with the Victor Chevalier character reveal trailer. The stage features a boat that’s floating on the Seine River in France, and you can see the Eifel Tower in the background. This is a moving stage, as the boat moves across the river.
Tekken 8 Victor Chevalier fighting style
It’s unclear what Victor’s official fighting style is, but it seems to be a blend of Ninjutsu, KoppoJutsu, Aikido, Hapkido, and Kendo, as he uses karambit knives and his sword to deal damage.
The character also uses a sidearm similar to Nina’s, so perhaps his fighting style is also similar to hers. Victor Chevalier also has some sort of teleporting ability, as he glitches in and out of combos and moves with his sword.
