Looking to experience Tekken 8 early? Here’s how you can play the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test, as well as the start and end date, available platforms, and more.

Tekken 8 is bringing the return of Bandai Namco’s classic fighting game, with a new roster of characters full of iconic and fresh faces. Those lucky enough to be selected for the Closed Network Test were able to experience the game early, but there’s another chance for those who missed out.

Bandai Namco have released the Tekken 8 Closed Beta, so here’s everything you need to know, including the start and end dates.

When is the Tekken 8 Closed Beta? Start, end, & platforms

The Closed Beta for Tekken 8 is live as of October 20, 2023, for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, and it will end on October 23, 2023.

Players will have three days to enjoy the beta, which will include the current roster of confirmed characters. If you did not register for the beta, unfortunately, your opportunity to play has passed, as registration ended on October 11, 2023.

If you already played the Closed Network Test, you will be able to play the beta by simply downloading the same application again.

How to play the Tekken 8 beta

To play the Tekken 8 beta, all you need to do is check for the registration email sent out on October 18 to the email you registered with. This will have a code that you will be able to use to download the application on your chosen platform.

Once you have downloaded the Tekken 8 beta, simply launch the app, create a username, and you’re good to go!

Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test content

Players lucky enough to have been picked for the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will be able to enjoy the following content:

  • Tekken Fight Lounge
  • Ranked Match
  • Quick Match
  • Battle Tutorial
  • Avatar Customization

In the Tekken Fight Lounge, players can communicate with others in a dedicated hub. Players can use the Battle Area to fight others and also visit the Customization Shop to kit their Avatar out with new fashion. There is also a way for players to fight against Ghosts, which is a new system in Tekken 8.

Players can also visit the Tekken Dojo and Beach Area, however, the practice mode and Tekken Ball mode that players will find in these respective areas are not available in the beta.
