The Rage Art system has returned in Tekken 8, bringing a fresh set of special abilities to its roster. Executing your Rage Art at the right time can easily win you matches, so here’s how to use Rage Art in Tekken 8.

Tekken 8 brings the iconic franchise into the next generation. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, and packs in a variety of new features including the Heat mechanic and multiple new characters. The game’s roster has 32 fighters, all with distant fighting styles to facilitate all sorts of playstyles.

While memorizing combos and juggles for different characters takes practice, one easy-to-execute move that you can rely on is the Rage Art. The mechanic made its debut in Tekken 7, and it remains just as beginner-friendly in Tekken 8.

With this in mind, here’s how to use your Rage Art in Tekken 8.

Tekken 8: How to use Rage Art

To use the Rage Art in Tekken 8, you first need to enter Rage state, which only triggers after your health drops below 25%. Once you’re in Rage state, use RT on Xbox or R2 on PlayStation, to use your Rage Art. You can always change the button binds by heading into the settings menu.

When Rage state kicks in, you can spot flames around your health bar and the character also starts exuding red flames.

Rage Art is essentially a character’s unique special move that can do big damage but can easily be blocked. This makes timing Rage Arts crucial, as you need to use it at the right time to gain its benefits, or you could be punished. It’s best to use the move while juggling your opponent, or after baiting them into an attack, and it’s especially useful for finishing a round.

Every character has their own unique Rage Art, some of which are even hit ranges (High, Mid, and Low), so it’s best to get to know your character’s Rage Art before chucking it out there. It’s also useful to know how other characters’ Rage Arts work, as you want to be prepared to block them. It’s important to note that the Rage Arts do more damage the lesser health you have.
