The Arcade Quest mode is a new way to tackle a fighting game tutorial. The official site’s description follows stating that the new mode allows you to “acquire basic knowledge, learn practical techniques, and enjoy a unique storyline and battles different from regular matches.”

It is possible to acquire customization items for both the playable characters and avatars while progressing in this new story mode. You start on your house’s arcade and move forward to better venues and even tournaments.

The mode’s difficulty grows as you progress through the different stages of Arcade Quest, learning the general ropes and specific character moves.
