After an action-packed trial period, The Finals Open Beta has come to an end. However, players are already desperate for more and feel the game’s full release can’t come quickly enough.

The Finals Open Beta gave many fans their first opportunity to try out the brand-new FPS that Embark Studios are cooking up. This trial period was well-received by players, who praised the frantic gameplay and depth offered by each unique build.

The response was so positive that the devs decided to extend the Open Beta for an extra day after the calls became too strong to ignore. But, after the beta finally came to an end on November 6, despite the additional time and surprise Halloween event, many players were still itching for more of The Finals.

The game’s subreddit was littered with posts after the servers went offline, many of which were desperately calling for the full game to be released as soon as possible.

Reddit user ‘whatsmyname097’ posted saying: “I just want to play one more round man,” before adding that The Finals is “so much fun and it’s almost frustrating that no other game can compare right now.”

Plenty of other players shared similar feelings, explaining that had been “captivated” by what they’ve played so far and that the quality of The Finals has “ruined” other FPS games for them.

While the community is clearly itching to continue playing The Finals, there is currently no release date for the shooter.

However, although there’s plenty of appetite, players also posted to assure the devs they’re happy to wait for the full release while they work on the game.

“All jokes aside please take your time with the game guys. It’s damn near perfect,” said ‘sterben 865’ in another Reddit post, before another player replied: “Props to them for having a working, functional, and fun game but let them cook and drop it when they feel it is ready.”

An FAQ answer in the game’s official Discord hinted at a possible December 2023 launch, but this hasn’t been officially announced. Either way, whenever Embark Studios decide the drop The Finals, it appears there will be a dedicated fanbase ready and waiting.
