The Finals allows you to build your loadouts for the three classes and also offers the ability to tweak your loadouts while in a match. If you’re looking to find out what Reserve loadout means in The Finals, here’s all you need to know including how to use it to change your loadout.

The Finals is an action-packed arena shooter, allowing you to jump across the maps and use unique Specializations and Gadgets for each build. It also offers 21 different weapons, nine for the Light, and six each for Medium and Heavy Contestants.

While you can’t change your Specialization in the middle of a match, you have the option to change your loadout while spectating and waiting for your respawn or revive.

That said, if you’re wondering how to use the Reserve loadout in The Finals, here’s all you need to know.

What does Reserve loadout do in The Finals?

The Reserve loadout will help you switch between weapons and Gadgets in the middle of a match, which can be useful for going up against certain enemies. For instance, if you’re missing your shots with an AKM, you can switch with FCAR or the weapon you have in the Reserve loadout for the Medium build.

The Finals Reserve loadout: How to change weapon & Gadgets

First off, it’s important to note that you can only use your Reserve Loadout in The Finals to switch out your weapon or Gadgets when you are waiting to respawn after dying. While spectating, you will see a button prompt (Square on PS, X on Xbox, J on PC) along with a “Change Loadout” icon.

Press the button and your loadout will then pop up on the screen. You will be able to select which aspect of your loadout you’d like to switch for your Reserve loadout.

Follow these steps to use your Reserve Loadout in The Finals:

  1. While in a match, wait until you are eliminated and spectating your teammates.
  2. A prompt will come up on the screen that says “Change Loadout,” along with a button prompt to do so.
  3. Then, select the aspect of your loadout you’d like to switch to from your Reserve. For example, if you want to switch to your Reserve weapon, simply select your current loadout’s weapon and select your other weapon to switch it out.
  4. Then respawn and you will now have your selected Reserve weapon or Gadget equipped.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to edit your Contestant’s loadout for Reserve as well. You can keep one weapon and three Gadgets in the Reserve loadout for each build to access the option to tweak your loadout during matches.

Well, there you have it, that was how you can use your Reserve loadout in The Finals. For more guides on this new free-to-play FPS game, check out:
