Stardew Valley players introduce Astarion from Baldur’s Gate 3 to farm life

Astarion can now be seen in Stardew Valley

Baldur’s Gate 3 players can’t get a break even when playing Stardew Valley, as fans managed to mod ConcernedApe’s game to introduce Astarion to its universe.

Stardew Valley players are still exploring everything that has been added with the 1.6 update, and some even took this opportunity to start new playthroughs. But in case that’s not enough for those who love the farming sim, a fan has found a way to introduce one of the most beloved Baldur’s Gate 3 companions to Pelican Town.

The worlds of Stardew Valley and Baldur’s Gate 3 aren’t alike at all, since the latter is set in a medieval fantasy realm where players need to fight off strange creatures, and the first one lets users live a peaceful life while trying to upkeep their grandfather’s farm.

However, players found that Astarion, the charming Vampire-Elf of Baldur’s Gate 3, could easily find his peace by replacing Elliott, the dramatic writer who lives in Stardew Valley. “Playing Stardew as a break from BG3, and it’s just like…I’M BACK IN THE F**KING BUILDING AGAIN!,” commented a user who shared a picture of Astarion greeting players at the start of the game.

This is possible thanks to a mod made by Nexus user “whisperwillow”, which not only replaces Elliott’s sprites but also adds new dialogue, interactions, and gifts to better suit Astarion’s preferences.

Astarion is relatively new in Pelican Town only moving here a year prior to your own arrival, he came here as a form of escape to heal from old wounds, and carve out a new life for himself. This man holds a deadly secret, however for he is a creature of the night, a vampire!,” commented “whisperwillow” about the alternative backstory for Astarion’s appearance in Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley players received Astarion’s mod with open arms, and some Baldur’s Gate 3 players have even admitted that this has convinced them to give the farming sim a go. “I personally find Stardew so boring, but this…this is nice,” read a comment.
