Tiger Trout in Stardew Valley

Tiger Trouts are one of the rarest specimens you’ll find in Pelican Town. If you’re wondering how to catch it and what you can use it for, here’s what you need to know.

In Stardew Valley, you’ll have to explore Pelican Town to get all the items you need for your farm. Every experienced player knows that there are some quite easy to get, but there are others that are going to give you a run for your money.

Tiger Trouts are one of the hardest species to fish since they can be found only in a few places during very specific conditions. If you’re looking to complete your River Fish Bundle in the Community Center or you just want to have this rare species in your Fish Pond, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s everything you need to do to catch a Tiger Trout in Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley: Where & when to find Tiger Trout

Tiger Trouts in Stardew Valley can only be found in the river flowing through Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest. To catch one, you’ll need to head there during Fall and Winter, between 6 AM and 7 PM.

Stardew Valley Tiger Trout locations
You’ll have more chances of catching a Tiger Trout if you focus on the Cindersap Forest river.

If you’re playing in the Riverlands Farm, Forest Farm, or Hill-Top Farm layouts, you can also try your luck catching Tiger Trouts in your nearest river or lake.

There are a couple more ways to get a Tiger Trout if you don’t want to fish them: you can try buying one from Krobus on Wednesdays for 200g or ask for them at the Traveling Cart, where you’ll be able to buy them for prices ranging from 450g to 1000g.
