Fallout Shelter: Do Dwellers heal over time?

In Fallout Shelter, Dwellers will heal over time if they are in the Vault with a steady Food and Water supply. If your shelter doesn’t have enough resources, their health will decrease, and they’ll start receiving radioactive poisoning.

Fallout Shelter: How to heal Dwellers in your Vault

You can easily heal your Dwellers in Fallout Shelter by using Stimpaks, waiting for them to heal over time, or leveling them up.

If you use a Stimpak, keep in mind that Dwellers affected by radioactivity will first need to use RadAway to remove the portion marked with read in their health bar, and then a Stimpak to regain full HP.

You can obtain Stimpaks for free through Lunchboxes, or you can produce them after building a Medbay and assigning Dwellers to it. This room is unlocked after reaching of population of 14 Dwellers.

Fallout Shelter: How to heal Dwellers in the Wasteland

You can’t heal Dwellers directly while they are exploring the Wasteland in Fallout Shelter. You may equip both RadAways and Stimpaks, but they will use them randomly.

However, you can manually heal your Dwellers during quests by waiting for their health to drop low enough until a green Stimpak logo hovers above their heads and clicking on it to heal them.
