Who is Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter?

In Fallout Shelter, Mr. Handy is a floating robot that works as an assistant to the overseer of the Vault. It can be assigned to a specific floor, and it will roam every room picking up resources when they are ready.

It also comes equipped with some weapons to fight off Raiders or any creature trying to invade your Vault.

How to use Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter

You can use Mr. Handy just dragging and dropping him on any floor, just as you do when assigning Dwellers. It will automatically asses the room, collect resources, and defend the floor from any threats.

You can also ask Mr. Handy to go out to the Wasteland to collect Caps, which will return automatically after getting 5,000. However, you can’t get it to use Stimpaks and damage dealt to it is permanent.

Keep in mind that they will also follow Raiders and threats to every room they get into when entering your Vault, so you’ll need to protect them from taking too much damage.

How to get Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter

You can get a Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter by purchasing it in the in-game shop or by winning it as a random reward when opening Lunchboxes.

Keep in mind that you can have only one Mr. Handy per floor, so be sure to locate it in your Vault’s spot with the most collectible resources.

How to fix Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter

If one of your Mr. Handy gets destroyed, it can be fully repaired for 2,000 caps or removed from the Vault like a dead Dweller. Of course, since it’s a rare obtain, we recommend spending the 2,000 caps to repair it, as big Vaults will benefit a lot from Mr. Handy’s help.
