Where to find Lock On Pistol in Fortnite: How to damage opponents

Epic Games have added the new Lock On Pistol to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2, so here’s where you can your hands on one and how to damage opponents with it.

There’s been plenty for players to get stuck into in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. The update brought a ton of map changes, a shiny new Battle Pass, and even the long-awaited Attack on Titan collaboration.

Epic Games haven’t stopped there though, releasing regular updates to keep the community topped up with new content, from seasonal events to brand-new weapons.

The latest new addition is the Lock On Pistol, which players need to deal damage with to complete a Weekly Quest. Here’s where to find the Lock On Pistol in Fortnite and how to use it.

Where to find a Lock On Pistol in Fortnite

The Lock On Pistol can be found in Chests, Loot Caches, and on the ground, as it has been added to the regular Fortnite loot pool.

Unlike the Kinetic Blade, there doesn’t appear to be a specific location on the map that guarantees a Lock On Pistol. So, you’ll have to loot up as normal and hope for the best.

That being said, you can drastically improve your chances of finding this new sidearm by landing at a named location like Mega City or Slappy Shores, as these will have far more Chests and loot to search through.

How to damage opponents with Lock On Pistol in Fortnite

Once you’ve managed to get hold of a Lock On Pistol in Fortnite, simply press and hold the aim button and point the weapon at an enemy until the crosshairs turn pink. This means the pistol has successfully locked on to the opponent, so your next shots will automatically track the target.

Then, all you have to do is pull the trigger and watch as your bullets follow the player for a guaranteed hit. Make sure you keep your aim relatively close to the enemy while firing, though, as straying too far away will break the lock-on.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to damage opponents with the Lock On Pistol in Fortnite:

1. Open Chests and loot up to find a Lock On Pistol.
2. Press and hold the aim button while looking at an enemy.
3. Wait for the four crosshairs to turn pink, indicating the target is locked.
4. Press shoot to fire bullets that will automatically hit the opponent.

Once you’ve got the hang of it, simply repeat the steps above until you’ve done a total of 200 damage with the Lock On Pistol to tick off this Fortnite Weekly Quest.
