Fortnite unvaulted many weapons and items in Chapter 5 Season 1, and many players are still finding uses for the controversial Lock On Pistol.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is still going strong thanks to a new TMNT event and other interesting collaborations. And while many are already thinking about what’s coming next for the battle royale, others are still exploring everything the current Fortnite season has to offer.

Devs unvaulted the Lock On Pistol to keep the loot pool fresh with many options, and players are praising the unique weapon not many know how to use. In a Reddit post titled “If you didn’t already think the Lock-On pistol was OP,” user ‘Benaar406’ revealed it’s a great weapon to deal with campers in the game.

The video shows the weapon can lock on enemies even if they’re not visible to the player. Many didn’t know this and rushed to thank OP for the tip. Others, on the other hand, are well aware of this, and commented things like “it’s a good counter for bush campers late game in no build” and “even better when you realize you can keep shooting as the 4 bullets unload.”

Fortnite players have nicknamed the Lock On Pistol as “the anti-bush camp weapon,” but Reddit user ‘TJB926GAMIN’ revealed it has other powerful uses:

“You can hit people around corners if it gets a lock on them as well. Find someone camping around a roof trying to peak at you? Any 1-4 bullets you can lock on them will remain locked for about half a second after they go behind a wall or go out of view, meaning you can (technically) damage them without even having a clear shot.”

Another player added: “Also awesome on rooftops, especially if you have fun being a nasty badwrong third party crasher.” All in all, many agree that is a great weapon for Zero Build, both in early and late-game stages.

And that’s why Fortnite players think the Lock On Pistol is great for dealing with campers. If you’re looking for more Fortnite content, check how to land at Hot Spots and what’s the “worst” shotgun of Season 1, according to players.
