Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has only a couple of weeks left, but players are still trying out everything that this season brought to the battle royale’s meta. From Mod Benches to Society Medallions and a moving train, there has been plenty of content to discover, which is why fans have just found a combo that could defeat every gear in the current season.
In a Reddit post that claimed that “Sniper meta is over,” a Redditor shared a clip where they show an incredible trick that can be achieved by combining both the Lock On Pistol and the Driftboard. “Why haven’t I been doing this the whole TMNT event?” commented user ‘thebtthat’.
Fortnite players were astounded by how the user used the Driftboard to move in the air, and then used the Lock On Pistol auto-aim while falling, which gave their opponent no chance to defend themselves. “If this happened to me, I couldn’t even pretend to be mad, that’s sick,” commented Redditor ‘mystireon.’
Another Fortnite fan pointed out another interesting advantage of using the Hoverboard and Lock On Pistol combination, and explained that the blue lens flare from the pistol also blocks the opponent’s view. “Was doing this yesterday. Players with the Grapple Blade couldn’t escape. Loved it,” said user ‘Chinpokomaster05.’
The Lock On Pistol has been one of the most notable weapons back in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. While some Fortnite fans claimed that the Lock On Pistol was “too OP” for the current meta, others beg Epic Games to not vault it again.
