Fortnite Loot Island explained – Location & rewards

While Fortnite always adds elements to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting for players, Loot Island remains a hot POI in battle royale matches. Players can get a unique Mythic on the island, and many quests require you to capture it.

How to find Fortnite Loot Island location in Chapter 5 Season 3

Loot Island does not have a set location in Fortnite but instead, it will Rift in the middle of the game and float above a random spot on the map. When this happens, you’ll see an indicator on your screen and you’ll hear Loot Island spawning.

Once Loot Island has appeared in the sky, Rifts and Ascenders will appear all around it to help you reach it. There will likely be a handful of other teams to contend with.

When does Loot Island spawn?

Loot Island spawns after the third Storm Circle is revealed and takes approximately 30 seconds to appear after its location is revealed.

All surviving players will receive a ping to let them know it has arrived, no matter where you are on the Island.

How to capture Loot Island in Fortnite

To claim Loot Island, all you need to do is head to the center of the island and stay in the circle around the flag for around 30 seconds. If enemy players enter the circle during that time, you’ll need to eliminate them to continue your progress.

Once you capture Loot Island and raise its flag, your rewards will descend from the sky.

During the Pirates of the Caribbean crossover, players are tasked with “raising the flag on the floating island,” which is none other than Loot Island. To complete this quest, all you need to do is reach Loot Island and capture its flag before another player does.

Fortnite Loot Island rewards

The main reward hiding on Loot Island in Fortnite is the Mythic Conductor Hand Cannon, a weapon that’s hard to master but packs a punch. Players can get hold of this gun by securing the Capture Point.

Doing so will also provide plenty more rare loot, from Gold or Purple weapons to useful heals like Flowberry Fizz. With so many valuable rewards up for grabs, the team that takes over Loot Island will be in a great position to go on and win the match.
