Fortnite players can’t believe hated weapon wasn’t vaulted in Chapter 5 Season 2

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 had a weapon that was hated by most players from the moment it was added to the game. Despite all the negative feedback, the weapon was added to the new chapter without any rework and players are not happy about it.

Being a Battle Royale, Fortnite has a lot of weapons that players can loot and use in order to secure the Victory Royale.

The Hammer Pump Shotgun is an automatic weapon, and can be fired continuously if you press and hold the “fire” button. Despite this, it’s one of the slowest automatic weapons in the game, making it one of the weakest weapons in the current Fortnite loot pool.

‘BuilderMushroom143’ took to Reddit to talk question why the Hammer Pump Shotgun returned in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. In their post they mentioned that the new Shotgun was the same but it “just shoots faster and has a bigger spread.”

One player responded to OP and said, “To have something to complain about when you land and can only find a trash pump,” while a different player replied to this comment and said, “Correct I will complain about it. Literally any other weapon will work better.”

Another Redditor pointed out that they would hold on to a Sniper irrespective of the rarity but will drop the Hammer Pump Shotgun in Fortnite if they had to choose between the two weapons.

However, a different player pointed out that the Hammer Pump was probably effective in the mode where you can build. They said, “You take quick shot, build/edit before enemy gets shot back. Does big damage.”

One Redditor added, “Bruh sometimes you land and this is the only gun you’ll find while seeing visual footstep indicators.”

As of now, it’s unlikely that the developers will replace any weapon from the current loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. However, the game is set to receive multiple updates during this season, so there’s always a chance that the developers will either vault or make adjustments to the Hammer Pump Shotgun in the game.
