Fortnite has welcomed Chapter 5 Season 1 after Eminem‘s ‘The Big Bang‘ event, bringing a ton of new content and exciting changes for everyone to try out. The latest season went live on December 3 and unlike the previous season, there’s a brand-new map for you to jump into.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 new map
The new map in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is split between the usual lush green biome and the snow-covered biome. The entirety of North, East, and South-east is covered with snow, on the other hand, Western, Southern, and mid parts of the map are the green terrains.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the locations on the new map in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1:
- The chaparral biome (dry region) is situated in the West, with the Ritzy Riviera marina
- Northwest’s boreal forest contains the Rebel’s Roost mansion
- The central part of the map is entirely grassland biome (wide open areas of grass)
- The alpine Hazy Hillside village and Grand Glacier Hotel can be found in the east, which comprises the boreal tundra (coniferous trees) and boreal snow biomes (constant snowfall)
- Snow can be found across different parts of the map that aren’t in the boreal snow biome
There are also several rivers and lakes throughout the map, connecting various parts of the map. Additionally, a railway line connects covers the central parts of the map, and you can board the train via the Grand Station, located towards the West of the grassland biome.
