Willpower in Diablo 4 is one of the stats that keeps changing as you find more equipment, but how does it really work? Here’s everything you need to know about Willpower in Diablo 4.

With every new piece of gear equipped in Diablo 4, you might have noticed how your Core stats keep changing. One of them is the Willpower stat, but players might be unsure how it works and how it affects the performance of their class.

On that note, here’s what Willpower does in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Willpower explained

Willpower in Diablo 4 is a Core stat that can influence your overall attack or defense depending on your class, and provides bonus healing and Overpower damage on top of that. Some classes might benefit much more with Willpower than the others in the game.

Alongside all of that, Willpower also has some additional bonuses for each class in Diablo 4. Here’s every Willpower class bonus in the game:

  • Barbarian: Gain additional Fury generation per every point of Willpower.
  • Druid: Gain Skill damage per every point of Willpower.
  • Rogue: No bonus.
  • Necromancer: Gain Essence generation per every point of Willpower.
  • Sorcerer: Gain Mana generation for every point of Willpower.

Unfortunately, Rogue mains have to miss out on this Willpower boost, but the rest can get a sweet Resource generation boost with Druids being able to dish out more damage as well in Diablo 4.

How to increase Willpower in Diablo 4

Here are the best ways to increase Willpower in Diablo 4:

  • Suitable gear: Use equipment that has the +X Willpower boost, or a bonus to all stats Affix if you want to increase your Willpower.
  • Paragon Board: Certain nodes on the Paragon Board will give a boost to your Core stats and that is a great way to increase Willpower in the game.
  • Collect Altars of Lilith: Make sure that you activate all 160 Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4 to get a whopping +68 boost to all your Core stats, including Willpower.

Aside from these permanent buffs, you can also have a temporary boost to Willpower by simply using the Blessed Guide Incense, as it will grant you a massive +25 to Willpower for 20 Minutes in Diablo 4.
