Diablo 4 Season of BloodBlizzard

Diablo 4 Season of Blood has just started and brought a huge overhaul of gameplay mechanics and class balance changes. Here’s how long Diablo 4 Season 2 will last and when to expect Season 3’s start date.

Diablo 4 Season 2 introduced the Season of Blood storyline, a new chapter where Wanderers have to purge a vampire invasion that has been taking over Sanctuary’s most remote villages.

Despite a drastic drop in its player count during Season of the Malignant, Diablo 4 Season of Blood got fans excited with new bosses, endgame activities, Unique Items, and a huge balance change for each class.

Blizzard have already mentioned that each Diablo 4 season is intended to last at least three months, so we likely won’t see any Diablo 4 Season 3 content until 2024.

Here’s when Diablo 4 Season 2 will end and when can we expect Season 3 to start.

Diablo 4 Season 2 expected end date window

We can expect Diablo 4 Season 2 to end approximately in January 2024. According to Blizzard, each Diablo 4 season lasts around three months. Season 1 began on July 20, 2023, and ended on October 9, 2023.

While Diablo 4 Season of Blood is going strong, the devs haven’t confirmed anything about the Season 3 start date yet.

However, they did reveal that Diablo 4 Season 3 would be bringing a new type of challenge to the game, named the Gauntlet. Diablo 3 fans are in for a trip down memory lane, as these challenges are improved versions of the Challenge Rifts from the third game.

Diablo 4 character seasonal reset explained

Diablo 4 devs also confirmed that even if players have to create a brand-new character to participate in the new seasonal quests and battle pass, Season 2 has made some changes that make it possible to carry over some progression.

All Diablo 4 Season 1 seasonal characters were moved to the “Eternal Realm,” where players can keep playing with them without getting a Battle Pass or season progress. This system is familiar to classic Blizzard fans, but might have been a shock to those who have joined Sanctuary this year.

Keep in mind that Diablo 4 Season 2 allows Renown gained in all realms to be carried over into this new chapter of the game, as well as Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Obol capacity.

Well, that was everything you need to know about Diablo 4 Season 2 and Season 3. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated with the latest details, so check back here for more information.
