Diablo 4 players demand change to fix “pointless” Gaunlet leaderboards

The Guantlet leaderboards in Diablo 4 allow players to check the builds used by the top-ranking players. However, players have discovered that these profiles are private, so they’re calling for them to be made public.

The Gauntlet is an endless Dungeon that was added to Diablo 4 alongside the 1.3.3 update. This activity has a Weekly Leaderboard associated with it too, and as mentioned by the developers on the Campfire Chat on February 29, players would be able to inspect the builds of the players already on the board.

While players have already started venturing into the Gauntlet in an attempt to immortalize themselves, there’s a small issue that they spotted. Despite having the option to inspect builds, players realized that most of these builds were set to private.

Player ‘Beginning-Advice-168’ took to Reddit to share their opinions about the same. According to them, the Leaderboards for the Gauntlet were “pointless” because of the private profiles. They feel that the developers should let everyone view the skills or just the basic character itself.

‘Randombullet555’ responded to the post and said, “The fact that it’s “current” build makes it even more useless, there’s a few on the top 10 with lvl 1 gear and just 5 useless skills to mess with people lol.”

Another player agreed with the OP in their comment and said, “I don’t believe anything should be hidden. The Diablo 4 Gauntlet challenge isn’t just based on what skills and gear you have. There is a degree of strategy and maybe luck involved in how you move around and when you hit the enemy respawn pylons.”

A few players pointed out that Diablo 3 had a similar feature, and found it surprising that Blizzard didn’t employ public Leaderboards in Diablo 4 alongside the Gauntlet.

‘Edifyingheresy’ commented, “Apparently the technology that has allowed this for years in D3 is just not available for a feature they’ve been planning for at least a year in D4.”

Considering that the activity was just introduced, it’s possible that the developers will implement changes and fixes based on player feedback, at a later date. Until then, be sure to check out the best builds for the Gauntlet in Diablo 4 Season 3.
