The Diablo 4 Gauntlet, despite initial launch delays, is still laden with bugs, as players recently found out. This new exploit allows players to easily get to a high score without much effort.

The Gauntlet in Diablo 4 was a highly anticipated activity that was scheduled to go live alongside the Season 3 update. The activity was, however, delayed and was finally released on March 5 alongside the 1.3.3 mid-season update.

Players were excited to try out this activity for themselves and battle it out for a chance to get immortalized on the Leaderboards.

However, as pointed out by ‘PravaDidNothingWrong’ on Reddit, the Gauntlet in Diablo 4 is affected by a game-breaking bug. OP mentioned that the bug allowed players to enter the Dungeon without starting it.

Diablo 4 content creator Rob2628 showed the bug on their live stream. Players could enter the dungeon, kite all the monsters and the bosses, head towards the entrance, and then open the door from the inside.

This would cause the activity to start and players would have a room filled with enemies to wipe out and get a head start on the score.

Shrines happen to be one of the main mechanics of the Gauntlet in Diablo 4 and being able to effectively use them is the key to a high score. And as many players pointed out, shrines within the Gauntlet could be triggered before starting the Dungeon.

One player noted that the Leaderboards were going to be skewed thanks to this bug. They said, “Well now a leaderboard reset is mandatory IMO, no ignoring this big an exploit,” while a different player mentioned that Diablo 4 “desperately needs a PTR.

Given that the exploit allows players to rake up a score boost at the very beginning of the Gauntlet, there’s a high chance that the developers might launch a hotfix to address the issue in Diablo 4.

Until then, be sure to check out what the players had to say about the Cinders in the Helltides, along with the state of Rogues after the recent Diablo 4 patch.
