Another new controversy arises in the Diablo 4 community, as the players accuse the devs of spreading misleading information about the rewards in the Lunar Awakening event.

Diablo 4 Season 3 has been in full swing for a couple of weeks now as the devs have started the new Lunar Awakening event in the game. Even though Season 3 had a shaky start at launch, Blizzard managed to calm things down for the time being with a few patches.

However, the new Lunar Awakening event has started the stream of complaints once again, as players are disappointed with the reward conditions. One of them even accused the devs of “lying,” as they reportedly found certain discrepancies between the marketing and real rewards in Lunar Awakening.

Reddit user ‘5al3’ called the devs out in the D4 subreddit, as they said: “So this was a f****ing lie,” indicating that the rewards are not how they expected them to be. “Turns out two rewards shown among free event cosmetics are paid after all,” added the OP.

Players are not happy with how the devs handled the rewards.

Although one player pointed out that the devs said in the post that there would be only six free cosmetics in the rewards, others argued: “Why put paid cosmetics in a picture that showcases free ones,” while calling the Diablo 4 devs “misleading” at the same time.

The devs released information about the Lunar Awakening event on January 30, 2024, and announced that there would be six free cosmetic tiers. However, people are confused and found it misleading that the announcement included two paid cosmetics among the free ones as well.

“Is it too much to ask for free event cosmetics in a god damn 70$ game?” asked the OP as others even went ahead and pointed out “bugged seasonal quests, bugged Lunar event, bugged invulnerability shrine not working, bugged classes, no gauntlet.”

Amidst all the commotion, some wanted results as they begged the devs to “start addressing and fixing these issues” in Diablo 4. However, Blizzard are yet to address this issue in Season 3.
