Smoldering Ashes explained

Just like every other season, Smoldering Ashes will be your primary reward for progression. Once you have enough Smoldering Ashes, you can use this to upgrade your Seasonal Blessings using the five Urns, and they are:

  • Urn of Spoils: Boosts the chance to get a Legendary Item from Spoils of Hell chests, found while fighting Infernal Hordes.
  • Urn of Abyssal Knowledge: Boosts the chance to get an Abyssal Scroll from Spoils of Hell chests, found while fighting the Infernal Hordes.
  • The Urn of Aggression: Boosts experience earned from Monster kills.
  • The Urn of Whispers: Boosts the chance to receive a Greater Collection from Whisper rewards.
  • The Urn of Nightmares: Boosts Paragon Glyph XP earned in Nightmare Dungeons.

Smoldering Ashes in Diablo 4’s Battle Pass are free for all players because it affects gameplay, and is achieved by earning Favor by completing the seasonal quests. The devs previously confirmed that you only have to spend money on cosmetics and that there aren’t any pay-to-win mechanics.

How to unlock Battle Pass

To unlock Season 5 and the Battle Pass, you need to create a new character in the Seasonal Realm. Although you can still create a character in the Eternal Realm whenever you want to, you won’t be able to access the Battle Pass through this character.

How long to complete Battle Pass in Diablo 4?

Based on what was seen during the previous seasons, you’ll need around 80 hours to complete the Battle Pass.

With the massive army of Hell heading towards Sanctuary, make sure that you complete the seasonal questline, but also gather all the new Unique items to breeze through your entire Season 5 journey through the Infernal Hordes.
