Although Blizzard have added several new mechanics in Season 3, Diablo 4 players are furious with the new Seneschal Construct pet.

Diablo 4 Season 3 is finally live as the new Construct enemies have made their way into Sanctuary under the guidance of Malphas. However, amidst several new additions like The Gauntlet and Seneschal Companions, more and more complaints are dropping each day.

According to the players, none of the new Season 3 updates have been up to the mark as they still miss Season 2 mechanics in Diablo 4. One of the biggest subjects of outrage is the new Seneschal Construct pet, and some players have even quit the season because of it.

Reddit user ‘colorsplahsh’ posted about this issue as they claimed that Season 3 is already “unredeemable,” targeting the Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4. They claimed that the pet “does no damage, [and] has no noticeable buffs,” which coincides with many others’ opinions about it.

The OP even clarified that players wouldn’t be able to customize or name their pet in any way and “offers absolutely none of what you would expect from a pet from a modern-day game.” Lastly, they added how players need to grind Dungeons designed to “slow” them down to upgrade the pet in Diablo 4.

Others agreed with the OP as well they they claimed that the pet should at least be “able to clear trash mobs” by itself, and even provide some buffs to the player. Some players added how it was always “off-screen” and was rarely beside the player during combat.

“They can’t get Class specific pets right with D4 so they went ahead and made a season with a Pet,” said one of the players. Some even called the Seneschal Companion “awful” in Diablo 4 Season 3, while others mentioned how “it does not even pick up loot.”

Diablo 4 Season 3 has just begun and the hordes of complaints from the community have flooded the gates of Blizzard already. This is why it’s quite likely that the devs will host a Campfire Chat very soon to discuss the upcoming changes and fixes in the season.
