Diablo 4 players slam disappointing gold rewards in Lunar Awakening event
BlizzardThe Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event is finally underway. While players can grab some good-looking cosmetics for free, they’re unhappy with the gold rewards associated with the event.
Gold is one of the primary currencies in Diablo 4. You need gold to do almost everything in the game, from purchasing items to repairing broken gear.
The Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event has different reward tiers available. On every tier, you can get your hands on some gold. However, some in the community feel that the amount of gold you can earn through these rewards is quite low.
As mentioned by ‘Andrey-d’ on Reddit, the final reward tier in the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event rewards players with 300k gold. They further mentioned that players tend to receive more than that by opening rare chests inside a Dungeon and dubbed the gold rewards as “visual noise.”
Redditor ‘Free-dome-lover’ commented on the thread and said, “More than 10k gold drops from one mob pack lol.” Another agreed with the OP and replied, “Agreed. I’d rather get mats for potions and Forgotten Souls over gold.”
Redditor ‘Raelaedru’ called the entire event in Diablo 4 a joke and commented, “The entire “event” is a joke. I just spent not even an hour doing 3 Whispers related to the shrines and one Nightmare Dungeon with the shrines. And the entire event is completed. Like what? Not even an hour to collect the entire thing? Is that a joke?”
The main highlight of the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event seems to be the mount skin available at Reward Tier 10. ‘Starcade21’ said, “The best thing about this event was how quickly it was over. The hippie mount is quite flashy though, have to admit. I kinda feel it was almost worth the effort.”
To conclude, players have repeatedly stated that the Midwinter Blight event was too “grindy,” while the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event was too easy. It will be interesting to see how this feedback affects the forthcoming events in the game.
