Diablo 4 players beg for more “rewarding” Legendary loot

Diablo 4 players have never really been fans of the in-game loot and rewards, so now they suggest certain changes to make it more rewarding.

Itemization has not really been the most favorite aspect of Diablo 4 in the community as many have complained about the loot and rewards since launch. Even after reaching Season 3, players are still complaining about how the loot does not feel rewarding during their playthrough.

Season of the Construct had a rather grim start on January 23rd as it was shredded with complaints upon launch. Despite releasing a fair few patches since then, it seems Blizzard still can’t catch a break from fan complaints about the loot.

Reddit user ‘alexanderjimmy21’ posted about this issue in the Diablo 4 subreddit, and stated: “Legendary Items are not rewarding enough to fill the role of a “special” drop.” With more and more people striving to get endgame Uber Unique gear, it seems like Legendary items are not useful to most of them.

The OP thought that devs designed Legendary Items to reward players, as they have added it to most drops. However, they claimed that users couldn’t feel excited about it as “most Legendaries aren’t that impactful,” so they ended up selling or salvaging them in Diablo 4.

They then suggested that the devs should “stop pretending that legendaries are anything other than rares with an aspect attached.” They added that it would be better for monsters to drop aspects “separately” and that only enemies such as Treasure Goblins and the Butcher should drop Uniques to make them feel “rewarding.”

Other Diablo 4 players agreed with the OP as well, and they claimed: “Legendary items should be removed. Aspects should drop as loot.” Some even pointed out that such a change would be great for emptying stash space in Diablo 4.

Most players suggested that the devs should “increase drop rate” for Uniques and these should “be able to have 2 aspects.” Although some players went ahead to call it a “design flaw,” others believed that the upcoming season might finally be the key to solving this issue permanently.

Blizzard are yet to address this issue explicitly in Diablo 4, but players would hope for a patch fixing this problem sooner or later.
