Diablo 4 players have been discussing Nightmare Dungeons (NMDs) since the game’s launch, and now they are split over NMDs being limited each season.

Diablo 4 Season 2 is in full swing as the devs are gearing up for several upcoming events and activities like the Midwinter Blight and Abattoir of Zir. With the next dev livestream already scheduled for November 30, players will be waiting to learn more about the game’s future.

D4 is one of those games that have a constant influx of suggestions from the player base as the devs have taken their feedback seriously. One of the most discussed issues in the community has been the Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 and whether all of them should be readily available to play instead of being limited, but some pointed out a major problem with having them all available at once.

Reddit user ‘jambre’ felt that Dungeons in the game should be NMDs and it was “weird” that players “don’t have access” to them straight away. Players get only a handful of options to choose from each season and the OP claimed that it “would help variety” if they had more choices to explore.

Many agreed with the OP as they said that “there would just be more choices” which would definitely help the ones farming these Nightmare Dungeons. Others claimed that their experience got “boring” when they kept getting the same sigils with unwanted NMDs.

Some players thought that running the same Nightmare Dungeons throughout a season “doesn’t feel fresh” and would be great if there were more choices. “I miss Domhainne Tunnels and Hoarfrost Demise,” said one Diablo 4 player as they wanted high XP Nightmare Dungeons from Season 1 back.

“Blizzard wants us to play the dungeons they want, instead of just letting us have fun and play our favorites,” added one of the players agreeing with the OP.

However, many disagreed with the OP too as they claimed players would end up “running the same 3-5 Dungeons” that provide better XP and it would be the same for every upcoming season. Others claimed that the devs “switch” to different ones each season to keep the player from farming the same Nightmare Dungeons over and over again.

With a lot of players being actively involved in the discussion, many wonder if Blizzard would take a step to address this. For more on Diablo 4, check out why the Uber Lilith boss fight is considered to be “trash” and which Dungeon objective the players want out of the game.
