Wondering what ritual activities are in Destiny 2? Here is what the term means and all the activities that come under it.

Destiny 2 has tons of activities to check out, and it constantly adds new content, as well as refreshes the existing ones with daily and weekly resets. Seasons come and go, but one set of activities, ritual activities, has remained at the core of Bungie’s MMO.

Ritual activities are an integral part of your usual Destiny 2 gameplay loop and consist of some of the most-played modes in the game. They’re also one of the quicker and easier ways to progress and gear up. Given how important they are, you’ll see the word tossed around plenty of times. But what does it exactly mean?

Here’s what ritual activities mean in Destiny 2.

What does ritual activities mean in Destiny 2?

Ritual activities in Destiny 2 refer to Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit. Anything and everything under these three modes are called ritual activities.

Ritual activities are refreshed following the weekly reset, every Tuesday.

They are all different types of modes that Destiny 2 offers, with Vanguard being PvE, Crucible being PvP, and Gambit being PvE. You’ll find them in the orbit menu, at the top of the Destination tab.

Each of these activities has a dedicated vendor as well — Zavala, Shaxx, and Drifter. They can be found in the Tower, and provide repeatable daily and weekly bounties that will help level up Season Pass, as well as their own vendor level. Leveling up their respective ranks nets you rewards like Ascendant Shards
