Warzone Rebirth Island different weather

Warzone’s fan-favorite Rebirth Island map received dynamic weather changes in Season 3 Reloaded, adding a new element to strategize around during matches. Here’s what you need to know about Rebirth Island’s new variable time of day feature.

Since returning at the start of Season 3, Rebirth Island has been a huge hit for Warzone players. Thanks to the Season 3 Reloaded update, the map has received new features to discover.

The new dynamic weather feature has been a popular demand from players and their wishes were finally answered as variable time of day has made its way to Warzone’s Rebirth Island.

What is Warzone Rebirth Island variable time of day feature?

Warzone Rebirth Island’s variable time of day feature will change the weather in matches on occasion. This feature will allow players to experience the map in new ways thanks to different weather conditions.

The weather conditions that Warzone players will experience on Rebirth Island include:

  • Foggy
  • Overcast
  • Sunset

These weather conditions are the result of increased aerial bombardments across Rebirth Island.

It remains to be seen if the devs will introduce more as the season goes on. For the time being, these three conditions were mentioned in the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded patch notes.

Some players may be worried that these weather conditions could impact visibility as they fight to be the last alive, but the devs confirmed that this won’t be the case: “The visibility of your squad and enemy players is always of overriding importance, as this weather mainly serves as pleasing new ambiance to the backdrop you’re fighting in.”

While your visibility won’t suffer as a result of Rebirth Island weather conditions, the devs have warned players to expect unique items to spawn across the map during these events. There’s no telling what these items will be, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out more information.

Is Warzone Rebirth Island dynamic weather always on?

No, Warzone Rebirth Island’s dynamic weather feature is not always on. The changes to the weather will only impact some games. Warzone players should know that this new feature only presents a “chance for variable weather conditions.”

The devs confirmed that for the most part, players can expect Rebirth Island to maintain its sunny backdrop: “Rebirth Island’s weather is almost always sunny, with clear skies.”

Not only will weather conditions impact matches at random, but their duration will also be random. Some dynamic weather types might start at the beginning of a match, while others might only creep in halfway through a match.

Where to find Warzone Rebirth Island weather forecast

Warzone players can discover weather changes on Rebirth Island by using the Smart Displays across the map. These screens will display “the general weather forecast for Rebirth Island,” meaning players can gather intel on any pending weather changes set to hit a match.

These Smart Displays were added at the start of Season 3. Given how many new features arrived in Season 3, you might not have noticed them. You can find them on the exterior and interior walls of Rebirth Island.

In addition to upcoming weather changes, Smart Displays also reveal where the biggest cluster of players are on the map. Keep an eye out for them in Season 3 Reloaded matches.
