The Fennec 45 was once the go-to SMG in Warzone, before a number of nerfs knocked it out of meta contention. However, CoD guru FaZe Booya has revealed a build for the SMG that he claims “still melts” on Vondel.

The Warzone meta is constantly shifting and evolving, thanks to the regular updates that bring major balancing changes to the BR’s weapons. The SMG class is one of the most competitive in the entire game, with the Lachmann Sub and ISO 45 ruling the roost in Season 6.

But with Modern Warfare 3 fast approaching, which is set to bring a ton of new weapons to Warzone, fans might be looking to shake things up by running a different gun to use as Sniper support.

Luckily, Warzone expert FaZe Booya has shared a build for a formerly meta SMG that he thinks is still a must-use in Season 6.

In an upload to his channel, Booya explained that the Fennec 45 “still melts” in Warzone, especially on smaller Resurgence maps like Vondel. Fans will remember that the Fennec 45 was comfortably the “best SMG in the game” back in the early days of Warzone, when Al Mazrah had just launched.

It was then nerfed out of the meta to make way for other close-range options, but Booya felt that the weapon was ready to make a comeback after a handful of buffs, including a damage range increase in the October 23 update.

Check out FaZe Booya’s best Fennec 45 loadout for Warzone Season 6 below.

FaZe Booya’s best Fennec 45 loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Stock: Agile Assault-7 Stock
  • Rear Grip: Fennec Rubber Grip
  • Magazine: Fennec Mag 45

Booya began his best Fennec 45 loadout in Warzone with the Lockshot KT85 Muzzle and FSS Sharkfin 90 Underbarrel, buffing the SMG’s recoil control and stability to help it hold its own in mid-range fights.

Next, we added the Agile Assault-7 Stock for faster ADS and sprint speeds, followed by the Fennec Rubber Grip for a better sprint-to-fire time. These add up to make the Fennec extremely mobile, ensuring you always land the first shot.

Finally, the Fennec Mag 45 increased the size of each clip, allowing players to deal with multiple enemies before reloading.

Booya recommended that players run this build on “Solos and Duos,” but insisted it could hold its own in Quads as long as they take the 45 round mag into account during fights. After being endorsed by the YouTuber, don’t be surprised to see the Fennec 45 make a comeback in Warzone going forward.
