Like many recent Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare 3 takes up tons of hard drive space. As a result, you might want to manage their files and storage by only keeping the content they need. So, here’s how to install and uninstall the campaign, Zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone in Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 is finally here, and while the game has tons of content to keep you entertained, that very content can quickly fill up your hard drive and cause storage issues.

Since you have tons of MW3 modes to try out, including the game’s multiplayer that brings back iconic maps from MW2 (2009), the Campaign, as well as the new open-world Zombies mode, you’ll need as much storage as possible to fit every single one of them. But with so much content, you’ll want to save space by only installing the features you plan on spending time with.

With this in mind, here’s how to install and uninstall the Modern Warfare 3 campaign, multiplayer, Zombies, and even Warzone on the Call of Duty HQ app.

How to install & uninstall MW3 modes on Call of Duty HQ app

In Modern Warfare 3, you can choose which modes are installed by heading to the settings in the Call of Duty HQ app. From here, you can access each individual component of Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone, choosing which files you want to keep.

For example, if you’re a multiplayer fan with no interest in the single-player content, you can keep Warzone and the multiplayer components from Modern Warfare 3 and Modern Warfare 2 downloaded, while freeing up space by deleting the campaign and Zombies sections.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to install and uninstall modes on the CoD HQ app:

  1. Boot up the Call of Duty HQ app.
  2. From the main menu, bring up the menu at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll over to the ‘Settings’ tab.
  4. Select ‘Manage Files’ at the bottom.
  5. Hover over a game and press ‘Manage Files.’
  6. Download or delete the modes you want to remove or keep.

Players can manage the files for all three games.

To save even more storage space for Modern Warfare 3 and future updates, you can also delete entire games in one go to uninstall all of their modes at once. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to hop back into Modern Warfare 2 once the sequel arrives, this could be the option for you.

It’s worth noting that you can perform the same functions from the home screen of your console or PC. By simply finding Call of Duty HQ in your library or storage settings, you can go in and manage the files you want to keep.

With this handy trick, you can ensure that you always have access to the Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone modes you need, while freeing up valuable space on your hard drive.
