If you are a Call of Duty fan or a Modern Warfare series enthusiast, you might be wondering if MW3 Zombies is free-to-play.

The third entry of the rebooted Modern Warfare series has been released, and with it, a new Zombies mode is set on the Urzikstan map. With new Act missions to complete, and a lot of ground to cover, the extraction-based MW3 Zombies mode is a lot of fun to play in co-op.

With Warzone 2 and DMZ being free-to-play, it’s natural for new players to ask themselves if MW3 can be played for free. The Zombies mode was added to the CoD HQ app, and from there, you can access MW2, Warzone 2, DMZ, and MW3 with Zombies.

The pack-a-punch machine is back in MW3 Zombies.

MW3 Zombies is not free-to-play as it requires access to Modern Warfare 3. The complete package is available to buy and play for $69.99 / £69.99.

Similar to every Call of Duty game with Zombies, this survival mode stays on the paid side of things, leaving Warzone and DMZ the main free-to-play Call of Duty experiences.

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision promised that the Call of Duty franchise would arrive on Xbox Game Pass at some point. With no news so far, players will have to buy the whole experience that MW3 has to offer on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.
