Call of Duty Next has officially revealed the new Gear-based Perk system for Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. Here’s how this new Perk system works in MW3.

Modern Warfare 3 launch is fast approaching with the Call of Duty Next event revealing a ton of details about the game, including the return of the classic minimap, weapons revealed, and the confirmation of content carrying over from Modern Warfare 2.

However, one of the most striking news was the new Perk system that will be included in this year’s title, so here’s how the brand-new Perk system works in MW3.

How does Gear-based Perk system work in Modern Warfare 3?

Perks in Modern Warfare 3 will be available through military-based Gear, with each piece of Gear providing different functionality and attributes to the player’s experience.

Based on the information revealed, each piece of Gear will be linked to a specific Perk, giving the player a limited amount of four Gear pieces to include within their Loadout. Just like previous CoD titles, each Gear is categorized into tiers to ensure proper balance within the system.

Further, it’s important to note that when you equip certain pieces, it prevents the duplication of the same effects that some pieces share, contributing to a balanced system.
