New original maps are coming to Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, and the devs have shared a first look at what to expect. Here are all of the new MW3 maps arriving in Season 1.

Modern Warfare 3 arrived with every single map from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, and so far, this roster has been well-received by Call of Duty fans. While the updated maps are a blast from the past, players can also expect new maps to arrive throughout the seasons.

The first taste of new maps will come with the Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 update. While MW3 fans can expect more classic maps to return, it’s the new maps that have piqued players’ interest early on. The devs confirmed that four new maps will arrive with the first season of MW3, so here’s a look at each one.

All new MW3 Season 1 maps

  • Greece (6v6)
  • Meat (6v6)
  • Training Facility (Gunfight)
  • Rio (6v6) *In-season

Head on over to the official Call of Duty blog to get a first look at images of the new maps arriving in MW3 Season 1. There’s still no exact date for MW3 Season 1, but the devs confirmed that it’s “arriving later this year.”

The four new maps are split between three new 6v6 maps and one Gunfight map, as the mode is set to debut in Season 1 of MW3. The blog also states that players can expect Greece, Meat, and Training Facility at the start of Season 1, while Rio will arrive in-season.

Don’t forget that a few fan-favorite Modern Warfare 2 maps have already arrived in MW3 with their own playlist. This further expands on the available maps that players can enjoy in Modern Warfare 3.
