Along with a ton of fan-favorite gameplay features returning, Modern Warfare 3 added a new feature from other popular games like CSGO and Valorant, which allows players to counter the effects of Flash Grenades.

The Modern Warfare 3 beta weekend two is currently underway, with players re-engaging with beloved classic maps and adapting to fresh features such as Tac-Stance and the Gear-based Perks among other returning ones like the classic minimap, or the map voting system.

Additionally, SHG have announced that Modern Warfare 3 introduces a new feature that could change how players choose and interact with the game’s Equipment. Flash Grenades are a crucial Tactical piece of Equipment in FPS games, enabling players to effectively clear corners, gain territory, and advance toward their objectives.

How to avoid Flash Grenade effect in Modern Warfare 3

To avoid the Flash Grenade’s blinding effect in Modern Warfare 3, players will have to look away once the grenade has been thrown towards them or at a location where they are located.

As in other games like CSGO or Valorant, having sharp reflexes allows you to avoid the flash effect, mitigating its blinding impact on your character.

For quite some time, the blinding flash caused by grenades in Call of Duty has held an iconic status. This has been a source of frustration for many players while being exploited by others, resulting in enemies becoming helpless when struck by Tactical Equipment.

However, with MW2 and Warzone 2, the CoD team introduced an option to alter the grenade effect. Instead of the blinding white flash, players could choose a black inverted flash, giving them an effective means to avoid the white screen in the game.

Now players can avoid the flash entirely. While not entirely a new concept, this is the first time players can effectively counter Flash Grenades instead of just reducing it with the Tactical Mask. This enables players to stay alert when dealing with enemy Flash Grenades.

All in all, that’s what you need to know about the new Flash Grenade counter and how to avoid the blinding effect. For more on Modern Warfare 3, be sure to check out our other guides:
