Warzone 2 Season 5 players have been flocking to the TAQ-V and Cronen Squall thanks to their long-range capabilities, but CoD guru IceManIsaac has revealed an underrated LMG that kills faster than both and “feels like hitscan.”

The Warzone 2 Season 5 update came with a major shakeup to the meta, as the new Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle and FR Avancer Assault Rilfe made their debuts. A ton of buffs and nerfs were also introduced to the existing lineup of guns, knocking certain weapons out of contention.

Since the patch, the TAQ-V has benefitted most from the balancing changes and has comfortably become the go-to long-range rifle alongside the nerfed Cronen Squall.

But Warzone expert IceManIsaac has revealed the slept-on LMG that outguns both of the meta picks at long-range and also happens to be a “laser beam” in tight gunfights.

The YouTuber explained that the Sakin MG38 has “double the bullet velocity” of the other meta picks, which makes it “feel like hitscan” even over extremely long distances. Despite some drawbacks with reload speeds, Isaac also showed that the Sakin kills faster than its rivals.

In fights taking place at 50 meters or above, the LMG killed between 25 and 100ms faster than the TAQ-V and Cronen Squall, and it even beat the RAAL MG which many believed to be the fastest-killing gun in the game.

Despite these impressive stats, the Sakin MG38 has a pick rate of just 0.4% according to WZ Ranked. However, IceManIsaac urged layers to give it a try and shared his best loadout.

IceManIsaac’s best Sakin MG38 loadout in Warzone 2

  • Barrel: 20″ Bruen Silver Series
  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: Cronen WL55
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity

IceManIsaac kicked off his best Sakin MG38 loadout in Warzone 2 with the 20″ Bruen Silver Series Barrel, which drastically improves the bullet velocity and keeps the LMG accurate over range. He paired this with Polarfire-S Muzzle, which offers another bullet velocity boost to make sure every shot hits its target.

Next up, he went for the Cronen WL55, providing some much-needed stability during sustained fire. He then added the AIM OP-V4, a clean Optic that improves the LMG’s accuracy without obscuring the screen.

Finally, he picked the 7.62 High Velocity ammo, buffing the bullet velocity one final time and unlocking the hitscan feel which makes the gun so effective.

IceManIsaac sang the praises of this Sakin MG38 build, saying: “This is the easiest gun in the world for wiping squads across the map.” Be sure to take it for a spin in your next match.
