Since Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded arrived, players have been able to around the map with the help of The Boys’ Temp-V. But after many players complained about the new Field Upgrades, the devs have taken action.

The Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded update brought a number of exciting additions to the CoD battle royale, from Resurgence map rotation to the new MX Guardian Shotgun. It also came with a crossover with hit Amazon show The Boys, including three new Operators.

But along with Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir, the collaboration also saw Temp-V Field Upgrades added to each mode, giving players limited use of deadly superpowers. It didn’t take long for the community to criticize their inclusion, with many calling the abilities “dumb” in Warzone 2.

Now, the devs have responded to the backlash by lowering the chance of players finding the superpowers in a game.

In the Warzone 2 July 19 update patch notes, it was revealed that the devs had “reduced the frequency of Temp V drops in all modes.” This means that likelihood of coming across the Field Upgrade is now lower, in the hope that abilities like Laser Vision and Charge Jump will no longer dominate matches.

It wasn’t confirmed how much the Temp-V drop rates have been reduced, but it should be a much rarer sight in Season 4 Reloaded going forward.

Fans have also expressed concerns over the Black Noir Operator.

The news will come as a relief to the community, who felt that The Boys crossover and its superpowers should have been added as a limited-time mode rather than incorporated into regular matches. These abilities were left out of Ranked Play, but many believed that they should only have to encounter them by choice.

Only time will tell if this change will ease some of the frustrations seen since Temp-V arrived in Season 4 Reloaded, as the powers are set to remain in the game for the time being, at least until the end of the Diaboloical Camo event and possibly until the start of Warzone 2 Season 5.
