Here’s how the new Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Resurgence map rotation will work in the battle royale, giving players some more map variety.

Warzone 2 features three maps now, Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and the Season 4 addition, Vondel. Each of these maps provides a different experience for players, with Al Mazrah being much larger than Ashika Island, and Vondel placing more emphasis on verticality.

Players have been calling for a map rotation feature for some time now, and the Season 4 Reloaded update has answered players’ calls. Here’s how the new Resurgence map rotation works in Warzone 2.

How does the Warzone 2 Resurgence map rotation work?

A Warzone 2 Resurgence map rotation timer is now live in-game for Season 4 Reloaded. This is a 15-minute timer that “indicates when specified Resurgence Modes switch between Ashika Island and Vondel.”

Every 15 minutes, the Resurgence map will rotate between Vondel and Ashika Island, giving players a chance to experience fresh terrain. The devs also stated in the Season 4 Reloaded blog that they will “closely monitor this feature and may look to expand upon it in future.”

So, there’s a chance the map rotation feature will be expanded beyond Resurgence and to Battle Royale if things go well.
